Possible uses of this medication
Soma is used with rest and physical therapy to treat acute, painful muscle conditions.

How To Take This Medication:
How much medicine to take and how often to take it depends on many factors, including condition being treated and age and weight of patient. Questions about amount and/or frequency of the medication should be directed to a health care provider. Avoid drinking alcohol and taking other medications that cause drowsiness (eg, sedatives, tranquilizers) while taking Soma. Do not stop taking Soma without checking with a health care provider. Patients with previous medical conditions should talk with their health care provider before taking Some. Do not take more Soma than prescribed. Advise doctor or pharmacist of any other medications to be taken in conjunction with Soma, including over-the-counter medications, herbal preparations or dietary supplements.

Precautions:
Before using Soma, tell the health care provider about any of the following: if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding ; if you are taking any prescription, nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement; history of substance abuse; impaired kidney or liver function.

Sid Effectss:
Every medication can cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor side effects. Tell the doctor or pharmacist if any of the following occurs: Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, tongue, and lips); temporary loss of vision; double vision. Feeling of a whirling motion; clumsiness; irritability; depressive reactions; sleeplessness; smarting eyes; fever; weakness; lightheadedness; flushing of the face; nausea; vomiting; upset stomach; dizziness; weakness; dilated pupils; slurred speech; agitation; exaggerated sense of well being; confusion; disorientation; tremor; fainting; increased heartbeat or hiccups.

Notes:
This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness.

Missed Dosage:
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as possible. If several hours have passed or if it is nearing time for the next dose, do not double the dose to catch up, unless advised by your doctor. If more than one dose is missed, contact a doctor or pharmacist.

Storage:
Store at controlled room temperature (59 to 86 degrees F). Keep in a tight, light-resistant container. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children.
