Possible uses of this medication
Cyclobenzaprine HCL treats pain and stiffness caused
by muscle spasms.
How To Take This
Medication:
Ask the doctor or pharmacist before using any other
medication, including over-the-counter, vitamins,
and herbal products. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking
this medicine. Tell doctor if
taking other drugs that may cause drowsiness such as
other muscle relaxants, sleeping pills, tranquilizers,
antidepressants,
barbiturates, or narcotic
pain killers. Before taking cyclobenzaprine, tell the
doctor if you are taking or have taken within the past
2 weeks
an MAO inhibitor, such as Marplan®, Parnate®,
or Nardil®.
Side Effects:
Call the doctor right away if you have any of these
side effects: Trouble breathing Fever Severe weakness
Changes in vision Swelling Skin rash If you have
problems with these less serious side effects, talk
with your doctor. Drowsiness Dizziness Headache Irritability
Trouble sleeping.
Precautions:
If pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to the
doctor before taking this medication. Before taking
Cyclobenzaprinel, tell your doctor if you have ever
had liver or kidney disease or porphyria. Cyclobenzaprine
can cause drowsiness or blurred vision. Be careful
when driving a car or using machinery.
Missed Dosage:
If a dose is missed take the dose if within
an hour of scheduled dose time.
If more than an hour has passed, skip the missed
dose and wait until the next scheduled dose.
Do not take two doses at one time.
Storage:
Keep all medicines out of the reach
of children. |
